How to watch Bucks County area soccer, field hockey teams in PIAA state championships

This weekend, hundreds of talented and dedicated student athletes will descend upon Mechanicsburg to compete for a state championship. Whether you’re up for a road trip, or would rather follow the action from your couch, you’re in luck.

Here's how you can watch your favorite teams in the PIAA state championships.

When are the 2023 PIAA State Championships?

The PIAA boys soccer, girls soccer, girl volleyball and field hockey championship games are Friday, Nov. 17, and Saturday, Nov. 18.

Where are the PIAA State Championships?

Sorry, but those giant Hershey bars are no more. The state championships recently relocated from Hershey to Mechanicsburg, located 10 miles west of Harrisburg.

How can you watch the PIAA state championships in person?

Tickets are digital and must be purchased in advance on the PIAA website. The cost is $8 per ticket. The boys and girls soccer championships will be played at Eagle View Middle School (6746 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050) while volleyball and field hockey finals will take place at Cumberland Valley High School (6746 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050).

How to watch the PIAA state championships

On Television: The games will be broadcast on the PCN cable television network. Soccer games will be broadcast live, while field hockey and volleyball will be shown Sunday.

For Comcast customers in Bucks County, this is channel 186; for Verizon, it is channel 9. For other providers and locations, visit the PCN website.

On PC/Laptop/Mobile Devices: The games will also be streamed live on PCN Select, a subscription-based service. After downloading an app, subscribers can watch the games live, or view replays on demand, on the device of their choosing.

Which teams from Bucks County and Montgomery County are in the PIAA Championships?

Dock Mennonite (1A) and Pennridge (4A) will play for the girls soccer title; CB South (4A) and Springfield-Montco (3A) will play for a boys soccer title; Pope John Paul II (3A) is playing for a girls volleyball title.
