Bellator 298 takes place Friday at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The main card airs on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.

Main event: Logan Storley

In the headliner in South Dakota, former interim welterweight champion Logan Storley (14-2 MMA, 9-2 BMMA) will try to get back on track after a unanimous decision loss to champ Yaroslav Amosov in a title unification fight in February. Prior to that, a three-fight winning streak after the first loss of his career, also to Amosov, included a win over Michael Page for the interim belt. He’ll have to do it against Brennan Ward, who is 3-0 since he returned after a layoff of more than four years.

Main event: Brennan Ward

Brennan Ward (17-6 MMA, 12-6 BMMA) came back to Bellator in February 2022. His most recent two fights prior to that were stoppage losses in 2017, and he stepped away from fighting all the way until hisi return with a second-round TKO of Brandon Bell. A little more than a year ago, he took out Kassius Kayne in the second, and after that, earlier this year, he stopped Sabah Homasi with a head kick and follow-up punches.

Co-main event: Valentin Moldavsky

In the co-feature, former interim heavyweight champ Valentin Moldavsky (11-3 MMA, 6-2 BMMA) will try to get back on track when he runs things back with Steve Mowry. The two first met in the same arena a year ago, but less than a minute into the fight, Moldavsky accidentally poked Mowry in the eye. When he couldn’t get clear vision, the fight was ruled a no contest. Moldavsky was stopped by Linton Vassell in the first round in March, giving him back-to-back losses for the first time in his career after a title unification loss to champ Ryan Bader in January 2022.

Co-main event: Steve Mowry

Steve Mowry (10-0-1 MMA, 6-0-1 BMMA) had a 10-0 start to his career with 10 stoppages, including his first six Bellator fights. But after a first-round submission of Rakim Cleveland in November 2021, it’s been likely a frustrating stretch for the 6-foot-8 31-year-old. He had to pull out of an April 2022 fight with Tyrell Fortune. Then he had his no contest against Moldavsky. Six months later, he returned against Ali Isaev in February and fought to a draw.
