Arkansas women's basketball likely needs a deep run at the SEC Tournament to get an invite into the national dance, and any potential late-season surge will begin tonight in Greenville, S.C.

The Razorbacks (18-13, 6-10 SEC) are the 10-seed and will face No. 7 Auburn (19-10, 8-8) Thursday evening in the second round of the conference tournament. Both teams received a first-round bye.

Arkansas won its lone matchup with the Tigers during the regular season. Taliah Scott scored 33 points and the Hogs outscored Auburn 33-11 in the third quarter to rally for a 74-72 home victory.

But since then, the teams have gone in opposite directions. Arkansas has lost six of seven games, while Auburn is on a three-game win streak and 5-2 since falling to the Razorbacks.

The winner will face No. 2 seed LSU in the quarterfinals Friday.
