Washington Metrorail to stay open later for Sunday Night Football
The Washington Commanders have a massive game on Sunday night against the New York Giants. While three games will remain in the season after Sunday, the winner of this old-school NFC East matchup likely earns a playoff berth.
As a result of the late-night game, the Washington Metrorail service will stay open one hour longer to accommodate fans who plan to attend Sunday’s game.
In addition, the Commanders will pay for all costs associated with the Metro staying open one hour later. The Metro’s policy is for sports franchises or event organizers to pay for any service time extension.

This is a rematch between the longtime rivals who played only two weeks ago. That game ended in a 20-20 tie. Washington and New York have identical 7-5-1 records going into Week 15.
