Warriors star Kevin Durant (ankle) ruled out against Thunder
The Golden State Warriors are set to face the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night. One person who won’t be available for the primetime contest? Forward Kevin Durant, according to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.

Speaking with reporters during Saturday’s shootaround, head coach Steve Kerr said he wanted to give his star player another chance to rest.

“Most likely he’ll play at San Antonio. Just feel more comfortable giving him a couple more days to rest,” Kerr explained.
Durant suffered his ankle sprain in the fourth quarter of Golden State's 115-112 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. He sat out for the Warriors’ 106-104 win against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, too. Andre Iguodala started in Durant’s place at the Toyota Center.
Durant has averaged 27.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.2 blocks per game this season with Golden State.
