CL's Adams, ST's Stokes voted Barker Honda Athlete of the Week in Houma- and Thibodaux-area
The ballot has closed, and this week's Barker Honda Athletes of the Week in Houma- and Thibodaux-area high school sports are Kaden Adams of Central Lafourche track and field for the boys and Sa'niah Stokes of South Terrebonne track and field for the girls.
Adams won a regional championship in the shot put by more than seven feet. He received 70.3% of the vote, beating out runner-up Terrel James of A.J. Ellender and third-place Brennon Murphy of Assumption.
Stokes placed in the top-10 in two events, made all the more impressive by having one in both a track event and a field event. She received 39.2% of the vote, beating out Sa'Vya Sutherland of St. James and Camryn Becnel of E.D. White.
