Vote for the Storm Works Roofing H.S. Football Defensive/Special Teams Player of the Week
Carver High's Robbie Peterson has been voted the Storm Works Roofing & Restoration High School Football Defensive/Special Teams Player of the Week.
The senior received nearly 2,000 votes to earn the honor. Peterson had a pair of interceptions and returned one of those for a touchdown in a 45-0 win over Hull. He also hauled in five receptions for 78 yards and a TD.
And this week's candidates are..
Gio Joseph, Jr., Marshfield: Joseph returned an interception for a score in a 44-15 win over Whitman-Hanson.
Jayden Leonard, Jr., Pembroke: Leonard returned a kick 96 yards for a TD in a 35-34 loss to Plymouth South. He also had three long TD catches (34, 28 and 62 yards).
Logan Barnhart, Sr., Silver Lake: Barnhart sealed a 15-9 victory over Plymouth North with a late interception. That helped clinched the Lakers first win of the season.
Willy Robinson, Jr., Scituate: Robinson returned a kick 78 yards for a score in a 49-24 win over Quincy.
Brandon Errico, Soph., Hanover: Errico had a pair of interceptions in a 42-13 win over North Quincy.
Jarred Mighty, Soph., Brockton: Mighty returned an interception 101 yards for a TD in a 27-9 win over Durfee. He also recovered a fumble in the win.

Nate Frechette, Sr., West Bridgewater: Frechette had a sack, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble in a 42-21 win over Diman.
Carl Pierre + Mehkei Gibson, Southeastern: Pierre returned an interception 40 yards for the lone score in a 7-0 win over Bristol-Plymouth. Gibson picked off two passes, the second of which sealed the victory.

Chris Soto, Soph., Cardinal Spellman: Soto returned a block punt for a score in a 49-0 win over Arlington Catholic. On offense, he ran for 114 yards and two TDs in the first half alone.
Connor Kelley + Isaiah Tobin, Srs., + Wyatt Callery, Soph., Bellingham: Kelley had five tackles, including three for loss, and a blocked field goal, Tobin had seven tackles (two for loss) and Callery recovered a fumble as Blackhawks (5-3) defeated Dover-Sherborn, 42-6.
Peter Abair + Jake Haarde + Calvin Pendergast + Logan Umbach, Srs., Lincoln-Sudbury: Umbach had an interception return for a touchdown and also added a 19-yard passing touchdown to senior Eric Siegal, Haarde (4 catches, 50 yards, TD) added an interception and Abair recovered a fumble forced by Pendergast as the host Warriors (7-1) clinched the Dual County League Large title with a 36-14 win over Westford Academy.
Jake Kennedy, Sr., Wayland: Kennedy (5 rushes, 23 yards, 2 TDs) had 7.5 tackles and also returned a 70-yard interception for his third TD of the game to close out the scoring in a 53-13 win for the Warriors (6-2) over Newton South.
Anthony Maietta, Jr., + Joey McGee, Soph., Milford: Maietta intercepted two passes and McGee also had a pick as the Scarlet Hawks (7-1) pitched a 24-0 shutout against a tough Franklin team. It marked Milford’s third shutout of the season.
Nathan Napier + Jack Kelly, Jrs., Natick: Napier kicked a 33-yard field goal and Kelly blocked an extra point early in the fourth quarter to keep the Redhawks (5-3) ahead in a 17-16 win over Milton.
