It is time to vote for the boy and girl athlete of the week from the Tuscaloosa area for the week of April 8-12.
Hillcrest's Emily Rice won the girls poll last week with 59% of votes, while Hillcrest's Jameson Farley won the boys poll with 66% of votes. Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers from the week before. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday.

Brock Abston, Tuscaloosa Academy soccer, had a hat trick in a 4-0 win over Prattville Christian.
Camden Barnett, Tuscaloosa County baseball, went 2-for-3 from the plate with three RBIs and a home run in a 5-4 win over Thompson.
McCain McMillian, Bibb County baseball, threw a no-hitter in a 13-0 win over Hale County, striking out five.
William Numnum, Northridge Track & Field, cleared 15 feet, 1 inch in the pole vault at the Mobile Challenge of Champions for a state best this season across all classifications.
Caleb Scofield, Northridge soccer, scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Mountain Brook.
Tuscaloosa area girls athlete of the week nominations
Jaslene Belden, Tuscaloosa County softball, went 2-for-3 from the plate with a double and three RBIs in an 8-3 win over Sumiton Christian.
Emma Champion, North River Christian Academy softball, went 3-for-3 from the plate with two singles, one grand slam, five RBIs and three runs scored in a 16-2 win over Heritage Christian Academy.
Peyton Earp, Tuscaloosa County softball, pitched 5.0 innings, allowing three runs off of seven hits and striking out two in an 8-3 win over Sumiton Christian.
Elle Emery, Northridge soccer, scored the game-tying goal with a minute left in the match in a 1-1 tie with Mountain Brook.
Amelia Hamiter, Tuscaloosa Academy soccer, scored two goals in a 3-0 win over Prattville Christian to secure the area championship.
