After three days of voting, Dumont senior center Sophia Mandalakis was selected as the North Jersey Girls Basketball Player of the Week.

Mandalakis registered three consecutive double-doubles to bring her season total to seven, averaging 17.0 points and 12.7 rebounds during a 2-1 week. That included a 15-point, 14-rebound performance in a win over Ridgefield Park that gave the Huskies first place in the Big North American.

Here were the other nominees:

Dani Daproza

Leonia freshman guard

Daproza led the Lions to a 3-1 week, averaging 20.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 9.3 steals. She posted double-doubles in victories against Bogota (21 points, 10 steals) and Butler (21 points, 11 steals) while adding a season-high 5 assists in the latter game.

Erin Fahy

Cresskill senior forward

Fahy became the 17th girl to join the Cougars’ 1,000-point club, reaching the milestone in Friday’s win over Waldwick. She helped her team extend its win streak to five with a three-game stretch in which she averaged 17.7 points and 7.3 rebounds and made all 17 of her free throws.

Precious Mitchell

Manchester sophomore guard

The Falcons notched back-to-back wins for just the second time in three years as Mitchell averaged 12.5 points and 13.0 steals. She set a career high with 15 steals at Hawthorne and added 11 vs. Paterson Charter to raise her season total to 82 in 12 games (6.8 average).
