Fans vote York Institute's Reese Beaty as Nashville area girls basketball midseason player of year

The fans have made their choice.

They voted York Institute junior guard Reese Beaty as the Nashville area girls basketball midseason player of the year. Beaty received 74,811 votes for 43.3% of the total. Going into the voting period, the Clemson commitment was averaging 20.4 points on 40.9% shooting from 3-point range and 82.6% from the foul line. She also was averaging 6.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals.

Maplewood's Jordan Brown was second in the poll with 62,541 votes for 36.2% of the total. Brown was averaging 18.3 points, four assists and two steals entering the voting period.
