West Texas High's Zoe Smith voted Happy State Bank Female Athlete of the Week

The polls are closed and it's time to unveil the Happy State Bank Female Athlete of the Week. It was a solid vote that saw multiple athletes lead at one point or another. Like the old saying from "Highlander" goes, though, there can be only one.

This week's winner is Zoe Smith of West Texas High. The standout had 16 digs against Sanford-Fritch and received 7,124 votes out of 14,965, a whopping 47.6% of the vote.

Credit Alayna Daniel of SJCA (3,572 votes, 23.87%) for putting up a solid fight as well. She had seven kills, one block and six digs against Covenant Classical Academy with 10 kills and four blocks against Temple Christian School. West Plains' Jayli Franklin (1,935, 12.93%) had strong showing as well.

Emma Williams of Sanford-Fritch also received more than 1,300 votes. Lilliana Rangel (Caprock), Sienna Cavalier (Amarillo High), Kyndal Blair (Hereford), Sidney Soria (Randall), Mazi Smith (Pampa) and Laney Jones (Canyon) were all nominated as well.
