It is time again to vote for the DC Roofing 321preps Athlete of the Week at 321preps.com and floridatoday.com.
The following athletes were nominated for their performances from Oct. 16-21. You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Be sure to refresh if the poll isn't visible upon first loading. Voting will be open until noon on Thursday this week.
Last week's winner was Brian Oesterle of MCC football. Find a list of the 2023-24 winners at the bottom.
Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. E-mail the athlete's accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to bmccallum@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Monday.
Here are this week's nominees:
Natalie Doig, Holy Trinity swimming
Doig won the 200 freestyle in 1:54.22, the 100 fly in 58.48 seconds and swam on the winning 200 free relay at the District 5-1A meet.
Addison Elwell, Viera cross country
Elwell ran 5,000 meters in 18:04.5 at Wickham Park on Thursday to win the girls individual Cape Coast Conference cross country title.
Ezra Engle, Melbourne Central Catholic football
Engle made seven tackles, including two behind the line. He also intercepted a pass, returned it 35 yards and scored a touchdown Friday.
Jack Girard, Viera cross country
Girard ran 5,000 meters in 15:59.8 at Wickham Park on Thursday to win the boys individual Cape Coast Conference cross country title.
Traven Green, Rockledge football
Green passed for four touchdowns in Friday's District 10-3S win over Merritt Island at McLarty Stadium.
Colin Guan, West Shore swimming
Guan won the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.43 and the 50 free in 23.02 seconds at the District 5-1A championship meet.
Hannah Hall, Viera golf
Hall shot 34 in a nine-hole round at Duran Golf Course Wednesday to win the Cape Coast Conference individual title.
D.L. Hardison, Eau Gallie football
Hardison caught five passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns and recovered a fumble which he returned 12 yards for another score in Friday's win.
Dai'veon Parham, Cocoa football
Parham made 10 tackles, including one behind the line, on Friday. He also sacked the quarterback once in the District 12-2S win.
Elena Rollen, Rockledge swimming
Rollen won the 200 IM in 2:20.94, the 100 free in 55.68 seconds and swam on the winning 400 free relay at the District 6-2A meet.
Gavin Schumacher, Satellite swimming
Schumacher won the 100 breaststroke in 59.72 seconds, the 100 free in 47.41 and swam on the winning 200 free relay at his district meet.
Bella Schwantz, Merritt Island volleyball
Schwantz recorded 19 kills and 17 digs in the District 8-5A championship win over Satellite on Thursday.
Carson Sisler, Cocoa Beach golf
Sisler shot 36 and won a playoff at Viera East on Thursday to claim medalist honors at the Cape Coast Conference championship.
Izzy Starck, Viera volleyball
Starck recorded 12 kills, six aces, 16 assists and 17 digs in the District 8-6A win over Martin County.
Brooke Street, Space Coast bowling
Street bowled games of 216-233-247 for a total 696 to win the girls individual Cape Coast Conference title at Merritt Island Shore Lanes.
Tyler Wickfelder, Edgewood bowling
Wickfelder bowled games of 257-257-245 to post a 759 and win the boys individual Cape Coast Conference title at Merritt Island Shore Lanes.
Lucy Williams, Merritt Island Christian volleyball
Williams recorded 27 digs, 32 kills and 11 aces in two district tournament games.
