Vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune’s Preseason Cross Country Runner of the Year

MACKINAW CITY – Make that two for two in polls won by Mackinaw City’s Braylon Currie this week.

Hours after being voted the Cheboygan Daily Tribune’s Week 1 Athlete of the Week, Currie was voted the Tribune’s 2023 Preseason Cross Country Runner of the Year.

Currie earned 26.97 percent of the vote, which beat out Cheboygan’s Sammy Harke, who picked up 23.32 percent of the vote.

Polling took place from Tuesday afternoon going into Friday morning. A total of 849 votes were cast.
