Vote for the Blue Water Area Athlete of the Week

It's time for the latest Blue Water Area Athlete of the Week poll. Now we need your help to determine a winner.

Because of the holiday weekend, voting ends at noon on Friday.

Last week's winner was Marysville volleyball's Breanna Gentner, who totaled 37 kills and 15 blocks in nine matches for the Vikings.

Listed below are this week’s candidates in alphabetical order:

Griffin Hansel — Port Huron boys soccer: Hansel set the program's single-game scoring record with scored six goals in a 9-1 win over Memphis on Aug. 28.

Jesse Kautz — Almont girls golf: Kautz shot a 44 and was the medalist of a BWAC match on Aug. 28. She also led the Raiders to a first-place finish.

Eva Thompson — Croswell-Lexington cross country: Thompson won the girls race of the Skippers Cross Country Showcase with a time of 20:00.50 on Sept. 1.

Nery Vega — Imlay City boys soccer: Nery finished with two goals and three assists in the Spartans' 9-0 victory over Richmond on Aug. 31.

Giovannino Virga — Armada boys soccer: Virga had two goals and one assist in the Tigers' 4-3 triumph over Yale on Aug. 28.
