The following athletes were nominated for their performances last week:

  • Isabel Allori, Liberty Common cross country: The Eagles' senior extended her unbeaten streak to 11 races, winning The Summit Stinger at Copper Mountain girls race on one of the most arduous cross-country courses in the country. The defending 3A champion won by nearly 34 seconds, dominating yet another race field.

  • Cash Altschwager, Wellington football: The junior running back finally looked healthy and had a huge game to keep Wellington unbeaten at 5-0. Altschwager had 205 total yards (155 rushing, 50 receiving) and three touchdowns in the Eagles' 42-20 win over Valley.

  • Seb Chavarria, Timnath boys soccer: Talk about a breakout performance! The Cubs' junior had a hat trick against Weld Central, scoring all of Timnath's goals in a 3-1 win. The sophomore had just one career goal in his first 17 matches but now has five in his last two games.

  • Carson Holly, Rocky Mountain boys soccer: Holly had a little something extra for some local foes. The Lobos' sophomore also compiled a hat trick with three goals and an assist against Loveland. And then for good measure, he also dished out an assist in Rocky's 3-1 win over city rival Fort Collins.

  • Danika Huff, Fort Collins softball: The Lambkins' sophomore had some big games at the plate for Fort Collins against local rivals. Huff had her first career three-hit game in a 12-0 win over Poudre and followed that up with another three-hit game that included four RBIs in a 14-6 victory vs. Loveland. Overall, she went 7-for-8 with six RBIs in three games.
