It's time to make your choice for the Covert Chevrolet Bastrop Austin-Area Girls Athlete of the Week for April 1-6. San Marcos pitcher Addie Sierra was voted the top girls athlete of the week for March 25-30.

This week's list includes three soccer players who have helped their teams reach this week's UIL state tournament, along with two softball players:

Haiden Anderson, Dripping Springs softball

Anderson hurled the Tigers back into the District 26-6A race with a pair of victories as Dripping Springs beat Bowie 7-4 and Johnson 9-8 in eight innings. On the season, the senior has pitched 115 innings and has a 2.19 ERA.

JJ Arellano, Rouse soccer

Arellano had a goal and an assist to lead Rouse past McAllen 3-0 in the regional semifinals, then added a goal as the Raiders blanked district champion Leander 3-0 in the regional finals to advance to the state tournament.

Sophia Martin, Westlake soccer

Martin, a first-year varsity goalkeeper, posted back-to-back shutouts in the regional tournament. The Chaps beat Harlingen 3-0 and then San Antonio Taft 2-0 to advance to the state tournament.

Kaylee McKinley, Hendrickson soccer

McKinley scored the lone goal in last week's 1-0 regional semifinals win over Port Neches-Groves, and then scored two goals in the Hawks' 3-2 regional finals win over Georgetown to advance to state.

Delaney Vannoy, Rouse softball

Vannoy had three hits, two RBIs and scored two runs in the Raiders' 10-2 win over Liberty Hill, and then led Rouse to a 12-0 win over Lehman with a pair of hits, four RBIs and two runs scored.
