South View's Jordynn Parnell wins Feb. 26-March 1 910Preps Athlete of the Week award

The voting results are in for your choice of 910Preps Athlete of the Week for Feb. 26-March 1.

A total of 5,367 votes were cast on this week's ballot.

With 2,591 (48.3%) votes, South View's pitcher Jordynn Parnell takes the Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this year. Parnell was outstanding in her softball season opener. Including a walk-off grand slam, Jordynn posted four RBIs, two Hits, two runs, and 12 strikeouts.

Ethan Colletti of Cape Fear baseball was in a close second in votes with 2,508.

Here are the rest of the nominee's accomplishments that landed them on the list.

Nahmiah Aekins, South View - Aekins was spectacular for the Lady Tigers in their first two playoff games. She put up 16 points and 14 rebounds vs. Pine Forest and 17 points and six rebounds vs. D.H. Conley to help South View advance to the Sweet 16.

Jayda Angel, Cape Fear - The Elon commit did more of what she's displayed all season for the Colts in the first two rounds of the NCHSAA playoffs. In the first round vs. South Johnson she put up 43 points, 11 rebounds, 10 steals, and six assists. In Friday's Round 2 game she posted 35 points, eight rebounds, eight steals, six assists.

Ameya Brown, Terry Sanford - The sophomore had a high-scoring affair in the Bulldogs' second-round playoff game. Brown totaled 27 points, five assists, four steals, and continued to show why she's one of the best shot-blocking guards in the area with two blocks.

Ethan Colletti, Cape Fear - The senior got off to a great start in the Colts' baseball home-opener vs. Southern Lee. Colletti had three hits, three RBIs, two runs, two stolen bases in the 17-7 win.

Ethan Pascall, Terry Sanford - The UNC golf signee won the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship over the weekend.

Breonna Roaf, Terry Sanford - Roaf continues her stellar play on the hardwood. In the second round of the playoffs Roaf put up 19 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, four assists that led to a Terry Sanford win.
