Vols’ game day: Tennessee’s all-time results on Sept. 2

Tennessee will open its 2021 season Thursday, hosting Bowling Green at Neyland Stadium.

Kickoff between the Falcons and Volunteers is slated for 8 p.m. EDT and will be televised by SEC Network. Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic will call the game.

Thursday’s contest is the second meeting between the two teams and will also mark the fifth time in school history Tennessee has played on Sept. 2.

The Vols defeated Bowling Green, 59-30, to kick off the 2015 season at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Tennessee is 4-0 in games contested on Sept. 2 all-time.
