Volleyball, soccer, golf postseason highlights Week 9 of Nashville area top performers
As the volleyball and soccer tournament games continue, the TSSAA high school golf season is winding down.
Here are the Nashville area top performers for Week 9 of the high school fall season.
Thursday
Soccer
Ashley Stacey, Oakland: Stacey scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Siegel in the 8-AAA championship. She was named tournament offensive MVP. Aniah Leflouria was named defensive MVP.
Kennedy Dean, Station Camp: Dean had a goal and assist as Station Camp captured the District 9-2A tournament title, beating White House, 9-1.
Elle Lassiter, Station Camp: Lassiter had a hat trick and added three assists.
Ayden Wood, Station Camp: Wood had three goals and three assists.
Lela Green, Stewarts Creek: Green finished with two goals in a 4-0 win over Stewarts Creek in the 7-AAA championship.
Abby Pennington, Stewarts Creek: Pennington added two assists.
Wednesday
Soccer
Emma Johnson, Liberty Creek: Johnson scored three goals as Liberty Creek knocked off White House-Heritage in the District 6-1A championship.
Emily Callanen, Ravenwood: Callanen had a goal as Ravenwood dropped Brentwood, 2-1, in the District 10-3A tournament semifinal.
Abigail Dibble, Ravenwood: Dibble also recorded a goal.
Tuesday
Soccer
Baylee Kingrey, Gallatin: The senior goalie had three saves in a 1-0 win over Mt. Juliet in the District 12-3A tournament semifinal.
Leah Krugh, Oakland: Krugh scored two goals in a 3-0 win over Blackman in the 8-AAA semifinals.
Addison Alexander, Spring Hill: Alexander had a hat trick as Spring Hill rolled to a 4-0 win over Columbia in the District 9-3A semifinal.
Taylor Genova, Stewarts Creek: Genova had a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win over Smyrna in the 7-AAA semifinals.
Abby Pennington, Stewarts Creek: Pennington added two goals and an assist.
Lillian Opie, Stewarts Creek: Opie finished with a pair of goals.
Claire Fogarty, Tullahoma: The goalie helped Tullahoma claim a 3-1 win over Central Magnet in the District 8-2A tournament semifinal.
Joeli Ryman, White House: Ryman had a hat trick in White House's 6-1 win over Portland in the semifinal of the District 9-2A tournament.
Jordyn Tucker, White House: Tucker also had three goals in the win.
Boys Golf
Jack Doyle, Brentwood: Doyle shot even for the Division I-AA state tournament to finish 12th at Sevierville Golf Club while helping the Bruins capture the 2A team state championship with a 10-over 586.
Blades Brown, Brentwood Academy: The sophomore tied the TSSAA boys golf state tournament two-day scoring record, shooting a 6-under-par 66 to finish at 14-under 130, clinching his third consecutive Division II-AA state title.
Stewart Claassen, Brentwood Academy: Claassen shot 71-73 to finish tied for seventh at state.
Parker Elkins, Clarksville: Elkins won the TSSAA Division I Class AA individual state championship by two strokes, shooting a 7-under-par 137 with rounds of 68 and 69 to lead the Wildcats to a state runner-up finish, five strokes behind Brentwood.
Cooper Jones, Clarksville: Jones tied for fourth with a score of 141 (71-70).
Jackson Herrington, Dickson County: Herrington fired an even-par 141 through two days at state to finished tied for fourth.
Will Pinson, Franklin: Pinson finished third overall in the 2A state meet. He shot a 2-under, two-day total of 140 (70-70).
Girls Golf
Reese Rexroat, Beech: Rexroat finished sixth in the Division I, Class 2A state golf tournament with a two-day total of 150 (76-74).
Alexandra Crews, Ensworth: Crews captured the DII-AA girls individual state title with a 3-over 143 (75-68) to help the Lady Tigers take the team championship with a 6-over, 286.
Savannah Cherry, Ensworth: Cherry lost to Crews in the first hole of a playoff to finish state runner-up with a 143 (70-73).
Lillian Yarbrough, Harpeth Hall: Yarbrough finished tied for sixth at state with a 4-over, 149 (75-74).
Hayden Cherry, Ensworth: Hayden finished eighth with a 5-over, 154 (79-75).
Mattie Goad, Macon County: Goad finished tied for seventh with a 152 (76-76).
Brooke Bennett, Page: Bennett fired a 146 (72-74) to take fourth place in the Class 2A state tournament.
Gabriella Diaz, Page: Diaz tied Goad for seventh with a 152.
Volleyball
Alley Hibdon, Gallatin: Alley Hibdon posted five kills, seven aces with a serve percentage of 100 with 30 assists and 18 digs as Gallatin swept James Lawson and Green Hill for the Region 6-3A championship.
Gracie Hibdon, Gallatin: Gracie was named region MVP with a combined 23 kills, three aces 16 assists, 19 digs and three blocks.
Caitlyn Chaney, Gallatin: The middle hitter was named All Region with 11 kills, four aces, nine digs and five blocks.
Sarah Grace Slusher, Gallatin: The sophomore had 12 kills, nine aces and nine digs.
Jada Burns, MTCS: Burns had 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Tipton Rosemark in the DII-A state round of 12.
Haley Hudson, MTCS: Hudson had 38 assists, nine digs and three aces
Anna Clay Shirley, MTCS: Shirley finished with 15 kills and four aces.
Elisa Fries, Oakland: Fries combined for 21 kills in wins over Lebanon and Cookeville, and added three blocks and 21 assists in a Region 4-AAA title win over Cookeville.
Taylor Baron, Oakland: Baron combined for 35 digs in two matches and had four aces in a win over Lebanon.

Izabel Ulrich, Blackman: Ulrich had four goals in a 6-1 win over Riverdale in the 8-AAA tournament.
