Vinny Curry had a heartfelt reason for spurning other offers to re-sign with the Eagles

The move had been expected for days, but the Philadelphia Eagles made the move official on Monday, announcing they have re-signed Vinny Curry to a one-year contract.

Curry had more lucrative offers but chose to re-sign with the Eagles after taking some time away from football due to the passing of his brother, Gerald Glisson, who died from the coronavirus.

Last season as a rotational pass rusher for the Eagles, Curry produced five sacks in 16 games and graded out at 77.9 overall and almost 80(79.8) as a pass rusher.

A New Jersey native, Curry will now focus on his family and helping the Eagles win another Super Bowl.
