An update on Vikings RB Dalvin Cook’s injury

Minnesota RB Dalvin Cook is listed as questionable on the Vikings injury report for the second week in a row.

Last week, Cook ended up being out for the game against the Seahawks. In spite of that, Minnesota pulled off the upset win to move to 1-2. Running back Alexander Mattison finished with 112 rushing yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry en route to the victory.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero has an update, saying that Cook said he got a lot of reps this week and feels good. Barring a setback, he expects to play Sunday against the Browns, per Pelissero.

With Mattison, Cook’s hypothetical absence can still make it possible for the Vikings offense to hum along and put up points. However, it does make things more difficult. Having Cook back would be a big boost for the team.
