Veteran cornerback, Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty announces retirement from NFL

Former Tennessee Titans cornerback Jason McCourty announced Friday his retirement from the NFL.

The 34-year-old McCourty, who played eight of his 11 NFL seasons with the Titans, shared the news in an Instagram post.

A former sixth-round pick by Tennessee, McCourty made 108 appearances with the franchise from 2009-16, including 90 starts. He posted 509 tackles, 13 interceptions, 73 passes defended, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries with the Titans.

McCourty joined his twin brother, Devin, on the Patriots in 2018, winning a Super Bowl that same season. The title came just one year after McCourty was part of a winless Cleveland Browns team.
