Vermont H.S. playoff scores for Tuesday, Feb. 20: See how your favorite team fared

The 2023-24 Vermont high school winter season has begun. See below for scores, schedules and game details (statistical leaders, game notes) from basketball, hockey, gymnastics, wrestling, Nordic/Alpine skiing and other winter sports.

BB: Will Ameden 28 points. Tucker Haynes 11 points.

Note: Host Colchester trailed 54-47 with four minutes to go, but rallied to advance. Davis hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to two and Bacon leveled the game with a minute to go. Will Oboh came up with a big steal with 30 seconds to play and Bacon won with a runner with 3.9 seconds on the clock.

Note: Rutland opened to a 22-10 lead after the first quarter before Essex clawed back into contention and trailed by just one point entering the fourth quarter. From there, Rutland closed it out by going 8 of 9 from the foul line.

Note: In a back-and-forth contest, MMU built a 44-35 lead midway through the fourth quarter before South Burlington cut the deficit to two points at 46-44. Rogers responded with a wing 3-pointer and, after a South Burlington layup, Tacy-Monroe drained a triple. MMU went 7 of 8 from the foul line to seal the upset. ... South Burlington played without star Tyler Bergmans (injury).

Note: BFA led 32-24 at the break. After an even third quarter at eight points apiece, the Bobwhites sealed the playoff win with a 19-12 fourth-quarter edge.
