Vanderbilt football reveals new uniform combo, gold helmet for 2023 season
Vanderbilt football revealed a new uniform combo and helmet it will use during the 2023 season on social media Sunday night.
The new uniform features a plain black jersey with white numbers that appear on the front, back and sleeves, as well as gold pants with a black and white stripe down the side.
The new helmet is gold and contains the new Vanderbilt "V" logo in white on the sides with a white stripe across the top. The previous uniforms, which were used during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, used the previous logo.
The revealed uniform was only the combo that the Commodores will use for their team media day Monday, with other combos yet to be announced. The previous uniforms included both a black and white combo.
One difference from the previous uniforms is that the new jerseys do not spell out "Vanderbilt," instead including solely the new V logo. These jerseys also eliminate the gold stripes that were on the sleeves in the previous set, instead replacing them with the player's number.
