Vanderbilt baseball live score updates vs Tennessee in 2024 SEC Tournament semifinals
HOOVER, Ala. — It's Vanderbilt baseball vs. Tennessee, again, for a spot in the SEC tournament finals.
In what will be the fifth game played between the rivals in the span of two weeks, the eighth-seeded Commodores (38-20) will take on the top-seeded Vols (48-11) in defense of their SEC tournament title.
Tennessee won the first two games the two teams played, but Vanderbilt took the third game of the series at Hawkins Field in May, as well as the first game between the two at Hoover Met, a 13-4 victory on Wednesday.
The semifinals will be single-elimination after the two teams advanced through a double-elimination bracket. The Commodores won their first three games while the Vols won loser's bracket games over Texas A&M and Mississippi State.
Vanderbilt, which entered the SEC tournament on the NCAA tournament bubble, can now feel good about receiving an at-large berth in Monday's selection show. The Commodores have an RPI of 18 and a KPI of 17.
