USC’s MarShawn Lloyd is getting ample national attention heading into the Senior Bowl

Originally starting his collegiate playing career at South Carolina, running back MarShawn Lloyd dealt with multiple injuries. Even so, he still showed glimpses of why he was one of the top prospects out of the high school ranks. Coming into the 2023 season, he transferred to USC fully healthy. He took the job and ran with it.

He’s not the tallest guy, but he has a bulky build along with great vision and pull-away speed. He ended the season with 116 carries for 820 yards and nine scores. He is also a threat out of the backfield receiving. I see him as a middle-round draft pick if all goes well.

National college football commentator Mike Farrell identified Lloyd as one of his top players to watch heading into the Senior Bowl game, one of the big pre-draft showcase events for NFL hopefuls coming out of college. It’s a big stage for many of the players trying to make a positive impression on scouts, general managers, and coaches across the NFL. Showtime is almost here.
