Urban Meyer weighs in on Notre Dame-Ohio State

Former Notre Dame wide receivers coach Urban Meyer is back with Fox Sports. He will be a part of the “Big Noon Kickoff” crew each Saturday this fall. Meyer, who was fired part-way through his first season as Jacksonville Jaguars head coach last fall, is back at Fox where he spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Meyer was on Dan Dakich’s “Don’t At Me” show on Tuesday, and Dakich asked the former Buckeyes, Gators, Utes, and Falcons head coach his thoughts on the Notre Dame-Ohio State showdown and if Notre Dame has a chance to pull an upset.

“I think they can. I’ve watched a lot of their tape. Marcus Freeman played at Ohio State, I know him a little bit. Great person, everybody respects him. He’s 36 years old, head coach at Notre Dame. He lost in the bowl game and here he goes into Ohio Stadium. That’s a tough two first two games. I think Notre Dame’s very talented. I think (Tommy) Rees does a really good job on offense. I think it’s going to be a great game.”

All I know is that the next 10 days leading up to this game are going to feel like an absolute grind.
