Upstate's top performers this week in boys and girls high school basketball playoffs

Here are some of the Upstate’s best performers in high school basketball during the week of Feb. 19-25, into the Upper State championships. Athletes are listed in alphabetical order by school.

Boys

Paul Bishop, Blue Ridge: Bishop scored 15 points in a playoff loss at Wren in the Class AAA Upper State semifinals.

Evan Enos, Byrnes: Enos scored 15 points as Byrnes beat Mauldin, 65-55, for the Class AAAAA Upper State championship.

Will Fowler, Byrnes: Fowler scored 26 points against Mauldin.

Keegan Arcega-Whiteside, Dorman: Arcega-Whiteside scored 15 points, including 12 in the first half, in a loss to Mauldin in the 5A Upper State semifinals.

Christian Andrews, Dorman: Andrews scored 14.

Amare Anderson, Greer: Anderson had 14 points and eight rebounds in a 65-53 win against Lancaster.

Zayne Valentine, Greer: Valentine led Greer with 19 points and had four steals.

Mikey Williams, Greer: Williams had 14 points.

Alverez Smith, Mauldin: Smith scored 16 points and blocked a 3-pointer in the final

Nathan Wilbourne, Mauldin: Wilbourne scored 15.

Hayden Assemian, Powdersville: Assemian had 24 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in the Class AAA Upper State semifinals win against Fountain Inn.

Jaleel McGee, Powdersville: McGee had 16 points and six steals.

Von Burton, Powdersville: Burton scored 13.

Jack Sauer, Riverside: Sauer hit a last-second 3-pointer to send the game into overtime and another to send the game into double overtime as Riverside beat Catawba Ridge, 63-61.

Jeremiah Campbell, Wren: Campbell had 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals as Wren beat Blue Ridge, 71-47, in the Class AAA Upper State semifnals.

Abijah Franklin, Wren: Franklin had 33 points and 13 rebounds. He had 17 points and six rebounds by the end of the first quarter as the Hurricanes won their 15th straight game.

Girls

Niyah Wilson, Daniel: Wilson scored 19 points as Daniel beat Blue Ridge, 63-40.

Caitlin Bowling, J.L. Mann: Bowling had 13 points and four assists in a 57-40 win against Gaffney.

Anaya Dillard, J.L. Mann: Dillard had 11 points and five rebounds.

Jade Hailstock, J.L. Mann: Hailstock, a freshman, scored 14 points.

Imari Richadson, J.L. Mann: Richardson had 10 points, six rebounds and four steals.

Madison Garrido, Riverside: Garrido had 13 points, four assists and three steals in a 63-61 win against South Pointe.

Elly Trickett, Riverside: Trickett had 13 points and eight rebounds.

Lola Kelly, St. Joseph’s: Kelly scored 17 points to lead St. Joseph’s past Christ Church, 52-49, in the Class A Upper State semifinals.

Adelia Stefanik, St. Joseph’s: Stefanik scored 15.

Monasia Clinkscales, Westside: Clinkscales led Westside with 16 points in a 44-30 win against North Augusta to send the Rams into the Class AAAA Upper State final.

Deyana Hayes, Wren: Hayes had 17 points and 15 rebounds in a 58-25 win against West-Oak in Class AAA.

Raina McGowens, Wren: McGowens had 28 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Olivia Randolph, Wren: Randolph pulled down 17 rebounds and had four blocks.
