Updated Georgia injury report ahead of UGA vs Oregon

No. 3 Georgia takes on No. 11 Oregon from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game.

The Defending National Champions take one of the top teams in the Pac 12 led by former defensive coordinator and first-year head coach, Dan Lanning.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Bulldogs are relatively healthy headed into the season opener.

Here’s an updated Georgia injury report ahead of kickoff.

OG Tate Ratledge

Injury: Foot/ankle 

Status: Probable 

The redshirt sophomore broke his foot in 2021’s season opener and has battled back to compete for a starting spot at right guard. Ratledge had the majority of snaps with the first team during fall camp.

WR Kearis Jackson

Injury: Ankle 

Status: Probable 

UGA’s 2020 leading receiver has battled an ankle injury during fall camp but should be good to go Saturday.

LB Trezman Marshall

Injury: Calf 

Status: Probable 

Marshall battled a calf injury during fall camp but has been practicing and is expected to get snaps at inside linebacker on Saturday.

 

RB Kendall Milton

Injury: Hamstring 

Status: Probable 

Milton was sidelined from full-speed work during fall camp with a hamstring injury. Coach Kirby Smart spoke about the junior’s recovery this week.

‘He’s hit good numbers on the GPS, I think he’s in good shape.’

DB Tykee Smith

Injury: Knee

Status: Questionable 

Smith has been working back from a torn ACL suffered in late November. The 2020 All-American has been practicing but may sit this one out till he’s full speed.

WR De’Nylon Morrissette

Injury: Knee

Status: Doubtful

The talented true freshman has just started to get to full-speed work after suffering a knee injury early in fall camp.

OT Earnest Greene

Injury: Hamstring 

Status: Doubtful

The true freshman has suffered a hamstring injury during fall camp and, considering the Bulldogs depth on the offensive front, Greene will likely sit this one out.

 

WR Arian Smith

Injury: Ankle

Status: Out 

Smith suffered an ankle injury during fall camp that required surgery. His timetable for return is not disclosed.

RB Andrew Paul

Injury: Knee (ACL)

Status: Out 

 

 

ILB C.J. Washington

Injury: Neck

Status: Out 

The true freshman suffered a neck injury in spring practice. Washington is working his way back but a timetable for his return is not disclosed.
