UFC Fight Night 188 bonuses: Carla Esparza’s dominance leads to extra $50,000

The UFC handed out four $50,000 bonuses Saturday after UFC Fight Night 188 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Performance of the Night: Carla Esparza

For the second time in her career, [autotag]Carla Esparza[/autotag] earned a $50,000 fight night bonus. Last time, it was for a "Fight of the Night" against Alexa Grasso in September 2019, which Esparza won by unanimous decision. This time, though, it was for her dominance in her second-round TKO win over Yan Xiaonan as "Cookie Monster" earned a "Performance of the Night" bonus.

Performance of the Night: Bruno Silva

[autotag]Bruno Silva[/autotag] earned a "Performance of the Night" bonus for his second consecutive fight after a first-round knockout of Victor Rodriguez in just 60 seconds. Silva has rebounded from a slow UFC start in a big way. His first three results were losses (with one overturned to a no contest), but in consecutive fights two months apart, Silva now has back-to-back finishes – and bonuses.

Fight of the Night: Jared Vanderaa vs. Justin Tafa
