UFC books Angela Hill vs. Loopy Godinez for October
Two of the most active women’s strawweights on the UFC roster are set to collide.
Angela Hill and Loopy Godinez will square off Oct. 15 at a UFC event that does not currently have a location or venue.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. No other bouts have been rumored or announced for the card at this time.
Hill (13-12 MMA, 8-12 UFC) has struggled to get the sought-after results in recent fights, though many have resulted in close decisions, some controversial. She is 1-5 in her most recent six bouts, but all of them have ended in a decision with half of them splits.
Godinez (8-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) rides a two-fight winning streak into the bout and has won three of her most recent four outings. Since April 2021, Godinez has competed five times. She picked up wins over Silvana Gomez Juarez, Loma Lookboonmee, and Ariane Carnelossi over that stretch.
