Memphis football landed its second Colorado transfer this month on Thursday when safety Tyrin Taylor announced his commitment to the Tigers.

Taylor joins tight end Austin Smith as Buffaloes headed to Memphis following Colorado's first spring practice under coach Deion Sanders.

Taylor (6-foot-2, 185 pounds), originally from Huntersville, North Carolina, spent the first two seasons of his college career at Colorado. He was a three-star prospect out of William A. Hough High and was the No. 131-ranked safety in the country, according to 247Sports.

Taylor played in 24 games at Colorado (nine starts). He finished his Buffaloes career with 39 tackles, two pass breakups and an interception (in the team's only win of the 2022 season).

Taylor, who will be a junior in 2023, is a part of the exodus of players transferring out of Colorado as Sanders reshapes the roster.

The Tigers concluded spring practice with their spring game on April 21. Memphis begins the 2023 season with a home game against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 2.
