Two state champs, a galaxy of stars: South Shore high school girls soccer All-Scholastics

The South Shore once again stood tall this fall when it came to girls high school soccer.

Two area teams -- Notre Dame Academy (Division 2) and Norwell (Div. 3) -- won state championships with Hanover the Div. 3 runner-up. Hull made it to the Div. 5 semifinals, and Hingham and Canton (both Div. 2) and Cohasset and West Bridgewater (both Div. 4) were quarterfinalists.

Blue Hills also won a state voke crown.

The Patriot Ledger/Enterprise area also boasted four All-New England picks (Notre Dame Academy's Sydney Comeau, Hanover's Sophia Foley, Hingham's Claire Murray and Cohasset's Tess Barrett) by the Eastern Mass. Girls Soccer Coaches Association.

Comeau (Div. 2), Foley (Div. 3) and Barrett (Div. 4) also were named EMass Players of the Year for their respective divisions.
