Twitter user creates in-depth thread defending Tua Tagovailoa

Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is only heading into his second season in the NFL. Now as the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins, he’s barely had time to adjust following a brutal hip injury against in 2019 Mississippi State that almost ended his career.

Still, that isn’t enough to keep the absurd amount of haters from criticizing every move the former five-star quarterback makes nowadays.

Most recently, it was Tagovailoa talking about not knowing Miami’s playbook “really, really good” and that has somehow turned into massive criticism on social media. The attacks have been all over the place, but one Twitter user has had enough.

He goes by Reason (or @the_real_reason) and his Twitter handle is pretty accurate, if this post is any indication. In order to see the entire thread, you’ll have to click on it and then scroll through, but trust me, it is worth it.

At this point, we’re going to have to wait until the season gets underway for Tagovailoa to silence his doubters, but there are plenty of reasons to buy into why that can — and should — happen.

He’s got a better understanding of the playbook, he’s had more offseason time with his teammates and the overall talent and depth around him on the offensive side of the football has been drastically improved.

Expect a massive step forward in his second season.
