Twitter reaction from football recruits visiting Tennessee ahead of dead period

Tennessee hosted recruiting prospects for official and unofficial visits ahead of the NCAA recruiting dead period.

The NCAA football recruiting dead period is slated for June 26-July 24.

During a dead period, it is considered not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations, on or off the member institution’s campus, or to permit official or unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to the institution’s campus, per the NCAA.

Five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews, four-star edge prospect Jordan Ross, four-star wide receiver Amari Jefferson and four-star edge prospect Elijah Rushing headlined Tennessee’s visitor list.

Tennessee’s 2024 class ranks No. 11 nationally and fourth in the Southeastern Conference.
