Twitter buzzing for Razorbacks in opener, Little Rock still a debate

Although it was a lesser FCS opponent to start the season, it was a solid win for the Razorbacks under two new coordinators. The majority of fans were ecstatic for the win. Many others were excited to see Morrilton native Jacolby Criswell, who transferred from North Carolina, come in and throw a touchdown pass for his home-state school.

But the debate still rages on about playing games in Little Rock’s small, tattered War Memorial Stadium. The stadium was far less than full, and fans voiced their complaints about the temperature, the opponent and the rules that prevent full recruiting weekends away from campus.

Armstrong: First Game, First Touchdown

High expectation from former Hog

Has time passed for War Memorial?

I’m usually an advocate for WM too, my earliest Razorback memory is there (Miracle on Markham), but with the state of the stadium, the fact that we can’t host recruits there, and the sorry execution of gameday functions, I’m starting to think maybe it’s time has passed.

Disappointed in the venue

Youngsters creating excitement

The young guys looked good! Bright future for the Razorbacks. Lets learn from the 13 we gave up and get back to it next saturday. #WPS #HogsBy90

Loud and proud

This was a great game. So proud of how well our fellas played, y’all. Any Razorback knows we are not the kind of team that can take non-conference games for granted, at all. We look good, though.

Noisy Freshman

Big Improvement

Last season the Razorbacks defense forced 7 turnovers all season. In week one alone, they have intercepted the ball 4 times already.

Former OC taking shots

The only thing I love more than seeing Coach Prime succeed, and Razorbacks crushing their opener is seeing Briles continue to lose.

BINGO!

The debate rages on

Well, it's not really a "home" crowd

It’s the smallest home crowd I can ever remember for a Razorback football game.

Home state love

Criswell comes in, leads a drive, and throws a TD pass. Tons of firsts today for some Razorbacks. Love to see it. 49-10 Arkansas.

Jacolby Criswell throwing a TD in a Razorback uniform makes my heart happy

Bright spots.

We have a backup QB.

Our freshman receivers are making plays.
