Tuscaloosa Academy's Danilo Stojakovic scores 34 points to top Tuscaloosa area top performers

Here are this week's top performers from the third round of AHSAA football playoffs along with top performers from boys and girls basketball.

Football

Demopolis's Keishawn Rowser carried the ball 23 times for 183 yards in a 20-17 AHSAA Class 5A quarterfinals loss to Eufaula.

Demopolis quarterback Kevin McElroy completed 14 of 22 passes for 120 yards with one interception..

Demopolis's Dalyn Jackson had eight receptions for a total of 85 yards.

Demopolis's defense was led by Bo Davis and Jamarcus Vawters.

Hillcrest's Bryson Kimbrough threw two touchdown passes, one to Jackson Henderson and another to Chemar Moore, in the 31-21 loss to Saraland in the third round of the AHSAA Class 6A playoffs.

Hillcrest's Jimmy Rice-Edison and Kamari Patton both had interceptions, with Patton also forcing a fumble.

Hillcrest's DeCorrin Thomas scored a rushing touchdown, the Patriots first touchdown of the game.

Pickens County's Santonio Jones had two touchdown receptions to help power Pickens County in an 18-14 AHSAA Class 1A quarterfinal win against Wadley.

Pickens County's Korbit Sommerville caught a touchdown reception.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Preston Lancaster rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another in a 36-29 AHSAA Class 2A quarterfinal loss to Pisgah.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Nic Evans scored on a touchdown reception.

Tuscaloosa Academy kicker Simon Mitrev went 3-for-3 in kicking field goals, sending the ball through the uprights from, in order, 35, 36 and 41 yards.

Girls basketball

Central's Airre'Ale Norfleet's 18 points led a 48-13 win against University Charter School on Nov. 17.

Central's Aailyha Golston scored 10 points to go with six assists.

Central's Jakhia Smith's game included 10 points and eight rebounds.

Holy Spirit's Berkley Young scored 17 points to top a 57-27 win against Ellwood Christian in Thanksgiving tournament play. Two steals and one rebound were also among her stats.

Holy Spirit's Bailey McLaurine's game ended with 10 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Holy Spirit's Genesis Lee scored 12 points, grabbed three rebounds and got away with three steals in a 56-46 loss to Victory Christian.

Holy Spirit's Izzy Burrows scored 10 points and blocked a shot, and Berkley Young's game stats included 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Paul W. Bryant's Adrienne Hunt had a double-doubled with 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 42-40 win against Oak Mountain. She scored 10 points in a 40-26 loss to Spain Park.

Paul W. Bryant's Faith Bonner added 10 points against Oak Mountain and seven against Spain Park.

Pickens Academy's Kate Wilkins put together a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds in a 54-25 win against the Tuscaloosa Warriors in the Pirates' season opener on Monday.

Pickens Academy's Morgan Shires scored 11 points.

Boys basketball

Brookwood's Jacob Rowell led Brookwood with seven points in a 56-18 loss to Central on Monday in the Turkey Day Shootout.

Central's King Larkin scored 19 points in a 56-41 loss to New Hope, Miss., on Wednesday in the Turkey Day Shootout.

Central's Deundre Grant scored 10 points.

Central's Thaddeus Long's 17 points and three rebounds powered the team to a 53-26 win against Holt on Tuesday.

Central's Thaddeus Long was the top scorer in a 56-18 win against Brookwood on Monday in the Turkey Day Shootout.

Central's Phillip Odom Jr. and Tyler Colvin both scored 11 points.

Holt's Keyon Abrams was the game's co-scoring leader, contributing 17 of Holt's 26 points in a 53-26 loss to Central.

Holy Spirit's CJ Thompson was Thanksgiving tournament MVP with play that included 16 points, nine rebounds, one block and one assist in a 53-47 win against Oak Grove.

Holy Spirit's Joseph Jones, who pulled down seven rebounds against Oak Grove, was joined on the all-tournament team with teammates Caleb Blocker, JT Bescauncy and CJ Thompson.

Holy Spirit's CJ Thompson dominated with 30 points, five rebounds, five assists and one steal in a 77-72 win against Victory Christian.

Holy Spirit's Joseph Jones was good for 12 points, five assists, three rebounds and one steal.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Danilo Stojakovic led a 68-51 win against Westminster, scoring 34 points to go with eight rebounds and three steals on Tuesday.

Tuscaloosa Academy's William Mullin was also a force, scoring 20 points to go with five assists.
