Here are Tuesday's high school sports results for the Wausau and Stevens Point area

BASEBALL

Wisconsin Rapids 7, Marshfield 2

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Braden Lewis pitched a three-hitter and struck out 10 batters to lead Rapids to the victory.

Jackson Laskowski was 3-for-3 with an RBI for Rapids. Brennan Huber had a double and two RBIs, Ethan Freeman had a double and an RBI, and Canon Plawman added two hits.

Chase Robinson hit a double for Marshfield.

Wisconsin Rapids is 13-2 overall and 3-2 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Stevens Point 14, Wausau West 1

WAUSAU - Devin Mrozek went 2-for-2 with a double and five RBIs to lead SPASH and Braylen Nystrom added a 3-for-4 line with a double and three RBIs for the Panthers.

Benett Klish had a pair of hits for the Panthers, including a double, in two at-bats, Ben Fonti had two hits in three at-bats, one that went for extra bases, and Kale Roth also joined the double party.

Ty Rechner earned the win (3-0) for SPASH after four innings pitched, giving up two hits, three walks and an unearned run while striking out eight.

Jaxon Stetler pitched an inning of relief for the Panthers, walking a batter and striking out another.

SPASH is now 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Abbotsford/Colby 10, Rib Lake 5

RIB LAKE - The Falcons built a 6-0 lead early and then scored four times in the seventh to seal the Marawood Conference-North win.

Brandon Diedrich was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Payton Schreiber was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Driving in two runs each were J.V. Castillo and Carlos Lara.

Pittsville 3, Iola-Scandinavia 2

PITTSVILLE - The Panthers pushed across the tying run in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings before pulling out the win in the ninth.

Evan Haley, Dawson Luther and Dylan Luther all had two hits each.

Alek Rogalla led the Thunderbirds with two hits.

SOFTBALL

D.C. Everest 18, Wausau West 1

WAUSAU - Everest racked up 16 hits to West’s two in the Wisconsin Valley Conference win.

Sydney Spear went 3-for-3 for the Evergreens with a triple, a stolen base, three runs scored and two RBIs. Caitlyn Kressel was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Brooke Brown had two hits in four at-bats with a run scored and a pair of RBIs. Dakota Witucki had one hit in four tries with a pair of runs scored and a team-high three RBIs.

Addison Kluck threw all five innings in the win for Everest and totaled 10 strikeouts.

Ella Wendling had the start and took the loss for West.

Caitlin Krantz had a solo home run and Kenna Gale singled for the Warriors.

Athens 6, Phillips 1

ATHENS - The Bluejays scored once in the fifth and five times in the sixth to earn the Marawood Conference-North win.

Jazelle Hartwig and Sydney Coker had two hits each to lead Athens.

Danica Diethelm picked up the win in the circle, allowing three hits, one earned run and seven walks, while striking out 14 in seven innings of work.

Almond-Bancroft 12, Wild Rose 2

ALMOND - Raegen Omernik drove in three runs to lead the Eagles to the win over the Wildcats.

Lexie Dernbach, Mya Dernbach and Oakley Omernik each had two hits. Lexi Dernbach had a home run.

Riya Ceballos got the win for Almond-Bancroft.

Lilli Luchini took the loss for Wild Rose.

Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls True Team Meet

MARSHFIELD 695, WAUSAU WEST 629.5, D.C. EVEREST 612, STEVENS POINT 586, MERRILL 458.6, WAUSAU EAST 301, WISCONSIN RAPIDS 179

Marshfield got first-place finishes in the 600-meter run (Michaela Dick, 1:41.90), the shot put (Aubri Brown, 38-7.5), the discus (Aubri Brown, 119-8), the high jump (Gracie Ridgway, 4-10) and the pole vault (Casey Dasler, 9-0).

D.C. Everest got first-place finishes in the 100 (Ellia Roble, :12.44), 1,500 (Sara Mlodik, 4:59.75), the 3,000 (Mlodik, 10:12.77), the 100 hurdles (Megan Zemke, :15.50), the 200 hurdles (Megan Zemke, :29.48), the 400 relay (:52.36), the long jump (Zemke, 17-0) and the triple jump (Elaina Kamke, 33-6).

Stevens Point’s Lilly Higgins won the 1,000 (3:10.09). Stevens Point won the 1,600 relay (4:29.64) and the 3,200 relay (10:28.25).

Wausau West won the 800 relay (1:52.90).

Merrill’s first-place finish came in the 300 (Madison Crossman, :42.56).

In the girls meet, champion Abbotsford won the 3,200-meter relay (12:11.42), the triple jump (Sommer Brodhagen, 32-0.5), the shot put (Margo Pogodzinski, 31-10.25) and the discus (Sommer Brodhagen, 107-8).

In the boys meet, Abbotsford won the 400 relay (47.70), the 800 relay (1:45.17) and the discus (Marcus Bohl, 143-4).

In the girls meet, Isabel Britton won both the shot put (29-2.75) and discus (89-11) for Adams-Friendship.

Nekoosa did not have any first-place finishes in the girls meet.

In the boys meet, Nekoosa got first-place finishes in the 100-meter dash (Jonathan Wenzel, :11.82), the 400 relay (:49.43), the long jump (Aiden Neduzak, 19-7) and the triple jump (Aiden Neduzak, 40-8.25).

Adams-Friendship did not have any first-place finishes in the boys meet.

In the girls meet, Colby won the 3,200 relay (11:20.02), the 300 hurdles (Hayden Willner, :49.57), the 800 (MaKenna Herrmann, 2:41.47) and the discus (Daelyn Rieck, 108-0).

Columbus Catholic’s AuBrey Waldhauser won the high jump (5-0).

Loyal won the 800 relay (1:52.14), the pole vault (Sheila Tellock, 9-0) and the 400 relay (:52.87).

In the boys meet, Colby won the 100 (Caden Healy, :11.34), the 200 (Caden Healy, :23.48), the pole vault (Seth Hopperdietzel, 11-0) and the triple jump (Ivan Haemer, 40-1).

Kyle Nieman won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.35) for Spencer. Spencer won the 800 relay (1:36.71) and the 400 relay (:47.87), Nieman also tied for first in the pole vault (11-0).

Columbus Catholic won the 1,600 (Isaac Scheer, 4:48.84) and the 3,200 (Isaac Scheer, 9:56.84).

Loyal won the 300 hurdles (:45.88) and the 1,600 relay (3:50.20).

Owen-Withee’s Mason Gay won the 800 (2:08.95). Nathan Zarins won the shot put (43-1.75).

GIRLS SOCCER

Marshfield 3, D.C. Everest 0

MARSHFIELD - The Tigers remained undefeated in the Wisconsin Valley Conference at 4-0 with the victory over the Evergreens.

Hayden Berger scored in the first half for Marshfield. Grace Taylor and Lauren Homolka scored in the second half.

Marshfield goalie Payton Bremer made three saves. DCE goalie Makenna Kampmann made two saves.

Assumption 8, Melrose/Mindoro/GET 0 (Monday)

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Kendall Duellman scored four goals and had an assist for the Royals in the victory.

Addi Vollert added two goals, while Sarah Shaw and Lucy Dolan also scored a goal. Shaw also had two assists.

Assumption goalies Morgan Reichl and Haley Hintz combined for the shutout.
