GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Hortonville 3, Fond du Lac 1

HORTONVILLE - The Polar Bears beat the Cardinals 25-23, 25-19, 9-25, 25-11 in a Fox Valley Association match.

Marin Grossman had 16 kills and Bry Kluess had 11 kills for Hortonville. Paige Lillie added 20 assists and Addi Bryant had 14 assists, Molly Fischer had 25 digs and Lily Berrens had three aces. Kluess also had four blocks.

Appleton North 3, Oshkosh West 0

OSHKOSH - After a hard-fought opening set, the Lightning took charge and cruised to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-11 win over the Wildcats in Fox Valley Association action.

Kimberly 3, Appleton West 0

APPLETON - Ava Van Vonderen had 13 kills and Ava Reis had 11 kills for the Papermakers in the 25-22, 25-23, 25-13 victory over the Terrors.

Emma Tesch added 18 assists and Ava Van Hammond had 16 assists. Ava Van Camp had 16 digs and four aces.

Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Little Chute 0

APPLETON - The Foxes stayed unbeaten in North Eastern Conference play at 3-0 and moved to 17-6 overall with a 25-11, 25-7, 25-7 win over the Mustangs (6-11, 0-3).

Statistical leaders for Fox Valley Lutheran included Annalise Patchett with nine kills, three aces and 10 digs; Emma Nilson with 10 kills and two aces; Molly Bixby with 11 assists, three aces and four digs; Ava Patchett with 15 assists, three aces and four digs; and Riley Schmitz with three aces and 24 digs.

Luxemburg-Casco 3, Clintonville 0

LUXEMBURG - The Spartans took charge from the beginning and rolled to a 25-10, 25-8, 25-11 North Eastern Conference victory over the Truckers.

The win moves Luxemburg-Casco to 3-0 in conference and 16-5 overall.

Leading the Spartans were Alayna Deprez with 18 assists and six digs; Aubrey Frey with nine kills, nine digs and seven aces; Miranda Schmidt with seven kills; Brooke VandeHei with seven digs and four aces; and Payton Kaminski with five aces.

The Spartans had 21 aces.

“It was great to finally play at home,” Luxemburg-Casco coach Jeffrey Frey said. “It’s always good to be on your home court in front of your home fans. I thought we played with energy and passion and served really well again.”

Oconto Falls 3, Wrightstown 0

OCONTO FALLS - The Panthers won a pair of close sets before closing out the North Eastern Conference victory 25-21, 25-21, 25-16.

Leading the way for Oconto Falls were Morgan Moynihan with 24 assists; Amber Otto with 16 kills and 19 digs; Lucy Ripley with nine kills; and Kyndra Staidl with 20 digs.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Appleton North 3, Kimberly 0

APPLETON - The third-ranked Lightning stopped the fifth-ranked Papermakers in three sets.

Leading the way for Kimberly were Lucas Eckrose with six kills and 10 digs; Owen Krause with six kills and three aces; Brady Koester with eight kills and three blocks; Gage Stahmann with 26 assists and three aces; and Michael Janssen with seven kills.

Statistics for Appleton North were not reported.

Kaukauna 3, Appleton East 0

KAUKAUNA - Nolan Laflen had 14 assists and three aces for the Ghosts in a 25-22, 25-14, 26-24 victory over the Patriots.

Jack Van Epern had 10 kills, Brady Schultz had eight kills and Andrew Vande Hey had six kills for Kaukauna.

Jade Breckheimer led the Ghosts with 20 digs. Vande Hey added eight.

BOYS SOCCER

Appleton East 6, Appleton West 1

APPLETON - The Patriots scored three goals in each half in the Fox Valley Association win at Nienhaus Sports Complex.

Alexis Vera scored three goals for the Patriots. Jalen Thao, Noah Thao and Josue Ntwari also scored. Isaac Goerlitz and Ntwari had assists for East.

East goalie Henry Benz made six saves.

Fond du Lac 3, Hortonville 1

HORTONVILLE - The Polar Bears got a goal from Owen Vedder but that was not enough to overcome the Cardinals.

Nathan Bolling had three saves in goal for Hortonville.

Neenah 1, Kimberly 0

NEENAH - The Rockets improved to 2-0-2 in the Fox Valley Association and 5-0-2 overall with the victory over the Papermakers.

Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Wrightstown 1

APPLETON - Sam Ferge scored two goals for the Foxes in the win over the Tigers.

Reed Curtis added a goal for FVL.

Matthew Callaway was in goal for the Foxes for the victory.

St. Mary Catholic 4, Kiel 0

FOX CROSSING - AJ Groppel scored two times in the eighth minute to lead the Zephyrs to the win over the Raiders.

Kieran Barrientos and Will Lawniczak both scored goals in the ninth minute for St. Mary Catholic. Barrientos and Groppel both had an assist.

St. Mary Catholic outshot Kiel 24-4.

Freedom 1, Luxemburg-Casco 0

LUXEMBURG - Tony Drontle scored in the 36th minute for the Irish in the North Eastern Conference win over the Spartans.

Freedom goalie Eric Wolf made six saves. Luxemburg-Casco goalie Quentin Massart had 10 saves.
