Trophy Room: Middle River man shoots his first bear on fourth day of season

Sep. 8—Justin Scheff of Middle River, Minn., shot his first bear Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, while hunting west of Middle River. The bear, which weighed 265 pounds, came in at about 15 yards, said Scheff, who used a .270 rifle on the hunt.
