Trevor Lawrence on Justyn Ross’ excellent start to camp: “I’m not surprised at all”

Former Clemson star quarterback Trevor Lawrence is very familiar with Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross’ game and his capability on the field.

There has been tremendous hype surrounding Ross, who has been excellent in camp so far and, most importantly, healthy. For Trevor Lawrence, this is no surprise. When asked about Ross during a Jaguar’s press conference, Lawrence praised the former Tiger.

“I played with him and know him really well,” he said.  “We came in together at Clemson. Great player, great player, just the person he is. He had a great work ethic.  You see the battle he has had to go through.”

“It is cool to see him getting his opportunity and I hope he continues to play well and takes in runs and the Chiefs treat him well. I think they will.  It has been awesome to see from him. Obviously I have seen that a million times in practice so I am not surprised at all. To see him get that opportunity that makes me happy. I am just excited for him.”

Ross is a fan favorite, and everyone has been rooting for his success this season. There’s an opening at wide receiver for the Chiefs, and Justyn Ross could work his way into a role in Andy Reid’s offense.
