Trevor Lawrence on his decision to decline an invitation to appear in Netflix’s “Quarterback”

Former Clemson star quarterback Trevor Lawrence is one of the hottest names in the NFL.

The buzz around Lawrence is real, and with that buzz, Netflix reached out to him to join the second of their new series, “Quarterback.” The first season was released recently, featuring Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings, and Marcus Mariota, former Atlanta Falcons quarterback. The series took everyone behind the scenes, with each of the three quarterbacks.

When offered an initiation to appear in the second season, Lawrence declined.

“I decided to not do it this year, but that was just something where I feel like it’s just not the right time for me,” Lawrence said. “Who knows, maybe in the future.”

Lawrence is expected to take a massive step in year three with the Jaguars and likely wants to focus solely on football right now. Below is a video of Lawrence explaining the decision.
