Matip's last-minute own goal sees Spurs snatch a dramatic 2-1 win over nine-man Liverpool. The Reds started the game brightly, only to go down to 10 men after 26 minutes when Jones' yellow card was upgraded to red for a high tackle. Diaz then had a goal ruled out for a tight offside before Son slotted Spurs' opener into the back of an empty net. Gakpo pulled them level just before the break with a fine goal. Son thought he'd scored his second of the game, but was also denied by the flag. Jota came off the bench in the second half, but two yellow cards in as many minutes saw him sent off too. Liverpool defended staunchly, but Matip put the ball into his own net in the 96th minute trying to block Porro's cross.
