What the Toronto Blue Jays are getting in Arkansas baseball's Jace Bohrofen in the MLB Draft
Arkansas baseball outfielder Jace Bohrofen was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays with the 184th pick in the sixth round of the 2023 MLB Draft. A native of Oklahoma City, Bohrofen went undrafted out of high school.
Bohrofen played his freshman season for Oklahoma, where he hit .252 while playing in 35 games in 2021. He transferred to Arkansas before the 2022 season, but played in 32 games as a sophomore, hitting .228 in 108 plate appearances. He broke out as a junior in 2023, hitting .318 with a team-high 16 home runs, helping lead the Razorbacks to the third seed in the 2023 NCAA Baseball Tournament.
Bohrofen is the third Razorbacks outfielder drafted into Major League Baseball in three years, joining 2021 Chicago Cubs fourth round draft pick Christian Franklin and fellow 2023 draftee Tavian Josenberger of the Baltimore Orioles.
