Rockwood (352) and North Star (353), finished second and third, respectively.

Conemaugh Township senior Sam Sharbaugh won the boys title with a 2-over par round of 74. After finishing third three straight years, Sharbaugh will finally have a chance to compete in the state tournament.

"I'm looking forward to good competition at states. Everyone is going to be out there doing their best. It is going to be fun."

North Star sophomore Eli Hostetler shot a 77 and lost in a playoff to finish third.

Meanwhile, Conemaugh Township junior Alex Boring collected her third straight girls championship with an 86. It was the same score she shot a year ago to claim gold.

"I am excited for this year (states). I have an idea of what I'm getting into, and I definitely feel like I can improve on last year and finish in a higher place."

Conemaugh Township coach Adam Thomas had nothing but praise for his squad.

"I'm proud of the team and kids," Thomas said. "I'm really happy to see Sam come through. For him to break through, it's a testament to all the work he put in. Alex has continued to improve, so it is great to see her get her third title as well."
