Top performers from South Jersey boys basketball in December

The first month of the boys' basketball season is in the books.

Here's a look back at some of the best performances over December.

Burlington County League

Baron Davis, Burlington Township. The junior has piled up the stat sheet in December, pacing the Falcons in points (83), assists (32) and steals (14) and second n rebounds (32).

Tahmir Dixon, KIPP-Cooper Norcross. The junior has been a force in the paint leading his team in points (92) and rebounds (72).

Drew Harvey, Cinnaminson. The senior guard has played a pivotal role in the Buccos’ strong 6-1 start. He leads the squad with 96 points and is among the team leaders in rebounds (28), assists (11) and steals (11).

Jack Jordan, Delran. The sophomore guard averaged 16.4 points over his first six games and delivered solid numbers in rebounds (32), steals (26) and assists (25).

Tre Powell, Medford Tech. The senior has produced a 22.5 scoring average, helping to power Medford Tech to a 6-0 start in Deccember. He’s also contributed 38 rebounds, 20 steals and 15 assists.

Colonial Conference

Ty Hodges, Paulsboro. The junior led the Raiders in points (79) and assists (30) as the team won three of their first four games of the season.

Ryan James, Gloucester. The junior produced double-digit points in five games en route to a team-best 65 points and a 13.0 scoring average.

Ryan Johnston, Audubon. The senior is off to a scorching start in scoring, averaging 22.2 points per game over the first six games of the season. He surpassed 30 points in a game twice, including a 33-point performance in a win over Gateway on Dec. 19.

Sam Narducci, Haddonfield. The Haddons went 7-0 in December and Narducci played a pivotal role in the fast start. The senior leads the team with 110 points, including a 32-point effort in a win over Atlantic Tech.

Nate Rohlfing, Haddonfield. The senior has been a force in the paint with 81 points, 58 rebounds and 14 blocks in seven games.

Olympic Conference

Tye Dorsett, Lenape. The senior has delivered a 17.6 scoring average as Lenape has reeled off six wins in its first seven games.

Jahaan Green, Eastside. The senior reached double figures in points in each of his six games played, producing a team-best 17.3 scoring average. Eastside is off to a 6-1 start.

Max Portnoy, Eastern. The senior leads the Vikings in points (107), rebounds (46), assists (32) and steals (18), powering the team to a 6-1 start.

Billy Richmond, Camden. The Kentucky-bound senior has produced strong stat lines as the Panthers are off to 4-1 start. He fell one rebound short of his fourth double-double of the young season in a loss to national power McEachern (Ga.).

Isaiah Thomas, Paul VI. The junior leads the Eagles with a 22.6 scoring average, hitting double-digit points in all five of his games played, including 34 in a victory over Trenton Catholic.

Tri-County Conference

Chase Ambrosius, Delsea. The senior sharpshooter has knocked down at least two long-distance shots in all of the Crusaders’ six games and has a team-best 18 triples on the season. He leads the team with 100 points and chipped in 23 rebounds for 5-1 Delsea.

Sami Anderson, Timber Creek. The senior is among the team leaders in most offensive categories with 62 points, 20 rebounds and nine steals. The Chargers are 4-1 in December.

Gevon Conrad, Washington Twp. After being held to eight points in the opener, the junior has been on fire with a 28.4 scoring average over his last five games – all wins for the Minutemen. He had a 37-point effort in a victory over Lindenwold and followed with a 29-point effort in the West Deptford Holiday Tournament, pacing his team to the title.

Elijah Crispin, Pitman. One of the region’s most productive scorers, the junior got off to a blazing start in December with a 21.4 clip. He’s scored in double digits in all seven games and has dished out 53 assists for the 6-1 Panthers.

Jack Mustaro, Gloucester Catholic. The Rams are off to a 5-1 start and Mustaro is a big reason for the early success. He’s averaged 20 points over the first six games and has contributed 23 rebounds and 15 steals.

Cape-Atlantic League

Isiah Akpassa, Absegami. The senior posted six double-doubles in seven games in December and leads 5-2 Absegami with 134 points. He had a season-best 29 points in a win over Bridgeton on Dec. 21..

Cohen Cook, Mainland. After helping to lead the football team to its first-ever state championship in November, the senior carried the momentum over to the hardwood. The guard averaged a team-best 23.7 points, powering the Mustangs to a 7-0 start, which included a 50-49 win over Cinnaminson in the Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase on Dec. 16.

Khajuan Roseborough, Atlantic City. The junior paced the team over the first month with 29 field goals, 83 points and 23 assists as the Vikings jumped to a 6-1 start.

Jamil McNeil, Middle Township. The junior guard has produced a 15.3 scoring average with 31 rebounds, 37 assists and 14 steals, helping power the Panthers to a 6-1 record in December.

Kori Segich, Ocean City. The senior was one of the region’s top scorers with a 26.1 average over the first month. He tallied 20 points in all of the Raiders’ seven games, including 38 in a win over St. Joseph Academy on Dec. 20.
