Top Performers: See who had huge weeks for high school basketball in Montgomery

The Alabama high school basketball season is developing, River Region teams have been playing key games around the city. Here’s a list of the Montgomery-area high school top performers from the week's action.

Boys Basketball

Brantley's Jayden Parks finished with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and five assist in a 70-55 victory over J.F. Shields. In a 59-45 loss to Highland Home the following day, Parks scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had five assists.

Prattville Christian's Collier Connell led the Panthers with 15 points and four rebounds in a 60-45 loss to Pelham. Cade Segars added 14 points.

Pike Road's Jordan Holmes scored 17 points and dished out four assists for Pike Road in a 13-point comeback to beat Sidney Lanier in overtime 64-61. Dallas Henderson added 14 points and Cody Markham led with 10 rebounds.

Girls Basketball

Prattville Christian's Kayden Carr led the team with 27 points and five rebounds in a 59-50 loss to Pelham. Avery Rogers added 16 points, six rebounds and four assists. Jenna McClendon finished with 15 rebounds and four steal.

Brantley's Alex Grimes finished with 10 points and five rebounds in a 33-28 loss to Highland Home. Coco Stamps added eight points, five steals, five rebounds and three assists.

Saint James' Ava Card scored 33 points hitting six shots from behind the arc in a 71-18 victory over Wetumpka. She finished with seven rebounds and Natalie Barton added 16 points, eight assists, and five steals.
