Top-10 recruit from 2026 class, Jacy Abbii receives offer from Rutgers

As Rutgers women’s basketball prepares for the 2023-2024 campaign, excitement is building for what is in store. While their focus is on the present, the Scarlet Knights made headlines on Tuesday as they looked towards the future. The Scarlet Knights sent an offer to Jacky Abbii, who is one of the top recruits in the 2026 class.

The Scarlet Knights have a lot of competition for Abbi’s services, as she is ranked by ESPN as the ninth-best player in her class. The Texas native has also received offers from various schools, including Mississippi State, Florida, Baylor, and Texas A&M, according to Prep Girls Hoops.

While Abbii has caught the attention of schools nationwide due to her scoring skills, she also has an impressive resume. The Talented guard won a gold medal at the 2023 FIBA Americas U16 Championship. During the USA’s gold medal run, Abbii started all six games, averaging 8.3 points and five rebounds a game.

Although her future is still undetermined, Abbii shared her excitement about receiving interest from Rutgers on social media. In a post on her Twitter account, she thanked Rutgers head coach Coquese Washington for the offer.

Over the next few months, Abbii will be a name for Rutgers fans to keep an eye on. If she ends up in Piscataway, the Rutgers 2026 class will get a significant boost.
