After a long spring season, the boys' and girls' high school soccer playoffs are here. These are some dates to be on the lookout for:
April 27-29 — Sub-State (6A)
May 1-2 — Sub State (all classes)
May 4-6 — 3rd Round ( all classes)
May 11-13 — State Tournament
Here’s a list of the top 10 Montgomery area schools' top-performing girls soccer teams heading into the postseason. Teams will be listed by Montgomery high school girls soccer rankings according to MaxPreps.
1. Montgomery Academy 13-1 (6A Area 4)
Top performers: Sophomore Sophia Cho leads the team with 22 goals scored this season and averages 1.3 goals per match. Senior Hayes Jenkins leads the team with 22 assists and has a total of 16 goals scored this season.
2. Auburn 11-5 (7A Area 4)
3. Saint James 12-1 (1A-3A Area 3)
Top Performers: Junior Katie Brightwell leads the team with 51 goals scored and averages 3.4 goals per match. Junior Mary Hixon has 16 total assists on the year and averages 1.1 assists per match.

Top Performers: Sophomore midfielder Aubrey Sheppard leads the team with 19 goals scored and averages 1.0 goals per match. Senior Samantha Stauter midfielder has 15 goals scored and Sophomore defender Hailey D'Andrea has 14 goals scored with five assists this season.

Top Performers: Freshman Ellis O’Conner leads the team with 19 goals scored and 16 assists on the season. Junior Kathryn Jehle Dickson leads the team with 16 total steals.

9. Elmore County 10-2 (5A Area 5)
Top Performers: Senior Raney Jones leads the team with 29 goals scored and averages 3.2 goals per match. She also leads the team with nine assists averaging 1.0 per match.
10. Pratville Christian Academy 6-2 (1A-3A Area 4)
