Tony Romo gets the call for Bengals vs. Chiefs again

When the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs take the field on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium, there will be a familiar voice on the call since they are on CBS Sports at 4:25.

Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be in the booth for the game, and fans seem to be growing tired of Romo in the past year after he was well-respected as a color analyst for a while after he started his post-playing career.

Romo has been on the call for many notable Bengals games in the past few years, three of them against the Chiefs. He called both of the AFC Championship games the Bengals split with Kansas City, and the game on Jan. 2, 2022, when Ja’Marr Chase had 11 catches for 266 yards and three touchdowns, making his “Chase is on the case” call.

Earlier this season, Romo was in the booth for the Bengals win over the San Francisco 49ers in which Chase had 100 yards on 10 receptions and a touchdown. Burrow only threw four incomplete passes in that game and had 283 yards and three touchdowns.

Regardless of what the fans think, Romo will still be calling the Bengals game this Sunday, one that is likely a must-win if they want to make the playoffs again.
